Homeowner Wakes to Find Burglar in Bedroom

Cash was stolen from the home, Prince William County Police said.

A Manassas homeowner woke up early Sunday morning to find a burglar inside her bedroom, Prince William County Police said.

Police responded to the incident at 6:37 a.m., after the homeowner on the 7600 block of Rosbury Court told police that she woke up to find a man standing in her bedroom doorway.

The burglar immediately fled after the homeowner saw him, police said. There were no signs of forced entry, and the burglar likely entered through an unsecured door. Police used a K-9 to search for the suspect, but did not find him.

The homeowner reported that some cash was stolen.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with a medium build. He was wearing a dark colored t-shirt, dark pants and a hat.
