Manassas Park Snow Emergency in Effect Tuesday Night

The snow emergency and accompanying parking restrictions are effective at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

A snow emergency has been declared for Manassas Park by the city manager, James "Jim" Zumwalt. The emergency is effective 6 p.m Tuesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, according to the snow emergency declaration released by the city manager's office Tuesday afternoon. The emergency may be extended depending on the weather conditions. A snow emergency means parking is restricted on the city's designated snow routes. Snow Emergency Declared for Manassas Park

The snow emergency and snow emergency route parking restrictions go into effect at 8 a.m. Thursday.

The expected snowfall has led Manassas Park officials to declare a snow emergency for the city, effective 8 a.m. Thursday. The snow emergency is in effect until at least 8 a.m. Friday, a full 24 hours, said Manassas Park city manager James "Jim" Zumwalt. Parking restrictions on city streets deemed emergency snow routes are in effect from 8 a.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Friday. Those roadways are: Violators' vehicles will be ticketed and possibly towed. Probably so that the Public Works employees could get some OT in. It was nice to drive down a mostly open street though. Too bad it can't always be that way.   more ›
