Suspects Pleads Guilty to Shooting Manassas Park Man

Jamie Lee Hunter pleaded guilty to opening fire on a Manassas Park man during a drug-related incident in Prince William County.

A Sterling man will serve just under 15 years in jail after he pleaded guilty to shooting a Manassas Park man more than a year ago. Jamie Lee Hunter,29, pleaded guilty in January to possession of a firearm by a felon, assaulting a law enforcement officer and malicious wounding in connection to a shootout at Westgate in the Manassas area of Prince William County on Oct. 12, 2011. He was sentenced to five years on each charge, but the sentences were suspended to 4 years and 10 months. He will serve the sentences consecutively. Hunter was also charged with shooting and throwing a missile and receiving stolen property, but prosecutors in the case declined to pursue those charges.
