Babysitter Indicted in Death of Manassas Toddler

Grand jury considered murder charges Monday in 2012 death of 23-month-old.

A grand jury has indicted a Manassas babysitter in connection with the August death of the toddler she was expected to watch, Prince William County Circuit Court documents show. Jessica Fraraccio, 21, was arrested in mid-March and charged with murder and child abuse after her 23-month-old charge died Aug. 22 at a home on the 9300 block of Birchwood Court in Manassas. Manassas Police investigators declined to name the victim, give the gender or comment on specific details of the death. A direct indictment for felony murder was handed down on Monday during grand jury proceedings, which area always held in secret. Eight Arrests in Prescription Drug Investigation

Cash and narcotics were also seized during the investigation near Manassas Park, according to Prince William County Police.

An investigation into the the possession and sale of prescription medications in the Manassas Park area ended in early March with several arrests, Prince William County Police announced. Eight people were arrested on March 8 by members of Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force, the Prince William County Police Gang Unit and the Prince William County Police Street Crimes Unit. Narcotics and cash were also seized, police said. News of the arrests were withheld because of investigation purposes.

Drug-Related Arrests Made at Manassas Park-Area Home

Police searched a home on Rugby Road in Yorkshire, near Manassas Park.

Investigators with a multi-jurisdictional task force searched a home in Yorkshire and found several illegal and prescription narcotics. The search warrant was executed back in January, but police didn't publicize it, because they didn't want to hinder the investigation into morphine and marijuana distribution in the area,  according to a Prince William Police Department release.  On Jan. 22, detectives from the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force discovered marijuana and psilocybin inside a home on the 7800 block of Rugby Road and arrested two people. Patio Ruckus Ends in Arrest at Old Town Restaurant

Three charges in Mackey's American Pub incident, Manassas Police said.

A drunken man was taken into custody after threatening two people and breaking a bar chair on Monday, Manassas Police said. Robert Joseph Rogers, 33, of 8717 Barnett St. is charged with disorderly conduct, destruction of property and public intoxication. It happened at 2:18 a.m. Monday at Mackey's American Pub on Main Street when a passing Manassas Police officer noticed a ruckus on the restaurant's patio. The officer said he saw a loud argument and then saw the suspect screaming threats at a man and woman before picking up a chair and breaking it near them. Babysitter Charged With Murder in 23-Month-Old Child's Death

The child died on Aug. 22, 2012, Manassas Police said.

A Manassas woman was arrested Tuesday night in the 2012 death of a 23-month-old child. Jessica Fraraccio, 21, of River Forest Drive is charged with murder and child abuse as a result of the ongoing investigation, Manassas Police Sgt. Lowell Nevill said on Wednesday.  The child, whose identity isn't being released, died on Aug. 22, 2012 in a home in the 9300 block of Birchwood Court where police said the defendant was watching him. Fraraccio was held at the adult detention center in Manassas without bond pending a court appearance in the Prince William County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, Nevill said.  No prior information on the death of the toddler was released before the arrest because the cause and manner of death were still …
