Have you seen the vehicle reportedly involved?
The Prince William County Police Department needs help in finding the vehicle reportedly involved in a fatal hit and run on Oct. 23, police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said. The hit and run reportedly happened on Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge. The victim of an Oct. 23 shooting at Marumsco Plaza ran across Bayside Avenue and was struck by an unknown vehicle, Perok reported. "The driver of the striking vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival," Perok said. "The driver of the vehicle in the hit and run was not involved in the shooting. The victim was flown to an area hospital with life threatening injuries sustained after being hit by the vehicle. On Monday, Nov. 5, the victim died from injuries sustained during the hit and run." …

When officer's found the suspect's vehicle, the front bumper was in the back seat.
A Manassas Park man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and hit-and-run after police found the front bumper in the back seat of his car, Manassas Park Police reports show. Witnesses told police they saw a 2011 Ford speeding down Cougar Court just after 8 p.m. Sunday. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle while making a U-turn, nearly striking a sedan before hitting a 2005 Toyota. The vehicle leftthe scene with the front bumper hanging off, but police later located the car on Lambert Drive where it was parked with the front bumper in the back seat, reports show. The suspect was arrested not long after the crash, Manassas Park Police reports show.
A trail left by leaking car fluid led police directly to a hit-and-run suspect, Manassas Park Police said on Wednesday. It happened just before midnight Saturday on the 100 block of Manassas Drive where police responded to a hit and run involving a 1999 Acura and a 1988 Pontiac. While responding to the scene, a police officer caught sight of a car that appeared to have just been in a crash and pulled it over. Meanwhile, a second officer followed a trail of car fluid from the scene of the crash to the suspect's vehicle, the 1999 Acura. The driver of the vehicle, a Manassas Park man, was uncooperative with police, smelled of alcohol and appeared to be under the influence, police said. Police said the vehicle linked to the crime had a "smiley face" on the rear.
A Manassas Park man who police said struck the back of a car on July 21 and then left the scene was located and arrested later the same day. It happened at 8:30 a.m. on Swann Court when the driver of a white Honda with a "smiley face" on the back, struck the side bumper of another car and sped off without stopping, Manassas Park Police reports show. The investigating officer spotted the suspect vehicle later that day and questioned the suspect, who eventually admitted to being involved in the crash. He is charged with hit and run and property damage. He is expected to appear in court on Sept. 20. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Manassas Park Police are searching for the driver of a Dodge that fled the scene of a crash involving a trash truck. The crash happened on the morning of Aug. 23 near Centreville Road not far from the Prince William County border when a 2007 Mack trash truck was traveling South on Route 28, according to police reports. A 2002 Dodge Ram truck was crossing Route 28 from Blooms Quarry Road when the trash truck struck a 2002 Doge Ram truck on the passenger side as it crossed Route 28 from Blooms Quarry Road. The driver of the ram drove away from the scene after the crash, Manassas Park police said.
