Manassas Park Police Donate 30 Bicycles to Needy Children
The bicycles were donated by a local business owner who asked to remain anonymous.
Thirty children are the proud owners of new bicycles this Christmas, thanks to a collaborative effort by Manassas Park Police, Bull Run Bicycles and a generous anonymous donor. Many of the donated bikes are new and still in the boxes, while others had never been used, but had sustained damaged in the store stockroom. Manassas Park Police Community Resource Officer William "Quiz" Quesenberry reached out to Danny Quirk, the owner of Bull Run Bicycles in Manassas, for help in repairing the damage and restoring the bikes to a safe and like-new condition. This is really cool! Danny is a great guy and many thanks also to the Manassas Park City Police and the generous donor. This is a side note, but I really hope as a community we start raising the awareness of everyone needing to wear a helmet to ride a bicycle and skateboard.
