Manassas Park Home the Target of Vandals

Someone shattered a Manassas Park family's window.

A Manassas Park family was sitting in their home Wednesday evening when someone shattered their window, according to Manassas Park Police. It happened at 7:20 when the family was gathered in their Cabbel Drive living room.  The victims say they heard a loud bang, followed by the sound of breaking glass. When they went to look to investigate the sound, they found a front bedroom window shattered, police reports show. Police responded but couldn't find the object that caused the damage. Police: Man Threatened to Burn House on New Years

A Manassas Park man was arrested after he threatened to burn a house down on New Years.

A Manassas Park man was arrested on New Years Day after he threatened to burn someone’s house down. Richard Martellus Flinchman Jr.,26, of Cabbel Drive is charged with making threats to burn, Manassas Park Police reports show.  It happened early Sunday morning at 2:44 a.m. on the 100 block of Cabbel Drive when police were told the suspect was, “extremely intoxicated.”  The suspect also began making derogatory comments, then threatening to burn someone's house down. Flinchman appeared before a magistrate judge and had bond set at $20,000. He next court date is scheduled for Feb. 9.
