On Saturday, February 22, the Manassas Park Community Center will host an Open House to celebrate its fourth year of operation and to release the schedule for its spring and summer programs and camps. The event, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00
p.m., offers a great opportunity for members, patrons, and the overall community to sign up for programs, meet instructors, watch class demonstrations and tour the facility. Also on this day, use of the Center is free from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

It has been four years since the January 2010 opening of the Community Center – a project that had been five years in the planning. In its first year of operation, the Center had a little over 49,000 patrons; today there are more than 147,000 – a 300 percent increase.

The Community Center, at 99 Adams Street, is located in Costello Park, just off of Old Centreville Road. It is an 80,000 sq. ft. public recreation facility with an NCAA-rated pool, a 20,000 sq. ft. gymnasium, a teen center, 11 multi-purpose rooms, public classrooms, a fitness center, aerobics studio, computer lab, and a banquet hall with catering kitchen.
