Advocacy for Sexual Assault Victims Joins ACTS

The merger will offer a full spectrum of resources to the community.

The Sexual Assault Victims Advocacy Service (SAVAS) of Prince William will become a program under the Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) umbrella on July 1.

SAVAS has been providing assistance and support to victims of sexual assault and their families since 1983.

The advocacy group serves residents of Manassas Park, Manassas and Prince William County.

“SAVAS and the ACTS /Turning Points Domestic Violence Program have been working closely together in state and local coalitions for many years. This merger will maximize the community's resources while offering a full spectrum of services to victims of violence,” according to a press release from ACTS. 

“SAVAS aligns with the ACTS mission to provide relief, foster hope and promote self-sufficiency to our Prince William area neighbors in crises due to hunger, homelessness and personal violence.”
