Rec Center Offers Summer Extended Daycare in Manassas Park

Children in the extended daycare program will take field trips to Leesylvania State Park and Blandy Experimental Farm, among other outings.

Manassas Park, Va. - The City of Manassas Park Parks and Recreation Department is offering Summer Extended Care for children going into first grade through 5th grade, Monday – Friday from 6 a.m.-7 p.m. 

Are your out-of-school days covered? The Extended Care Program at the is a licensed daycare program through the state of Virginia Department of Social Services.

This summer, your child will embark on many journeys that are planned in each session. In July, we will be taking field trips to Leesylvania State Park, Blandy Experimental Farm, take part in a mad science workshop and get to see real life reptiles with Reptiles Alive! I

n August, we will visit the Leesburg Petting Zoo, Atlantis Water Park and have fun with water games at MPCC.

Plus, each week will be filled with interactive games, crafts, nutritious snacks as well as trips to Signal Bay Water Park and swimming at the MPCC pool.  What better way for your child to spend their summer than to spend it learning and having fun with kids their age.

Our Extended Care Program is offered to residents and non-residents of Manassas Park. City of Manassas Park Schools offer transportation to and from their schools for students in summer school.

Session dates vary—the first began this week.
