Prince William Community Band To Perform at NVCC in Manassas

The performance is part of the second annual Summer Evenings Under The Stars series.

The Prince William Community Band will present a free show at 8 p.m. July 28 at the Mary Louise Jackson Amphitheater at Northern Virginia Community College, 6901 Sudley Road in Manassas.

For “A Salute to Broadway,” band director Ed Jones assembled a program of songs from famous shows, suitable for audiences of all ages.

The Prince William Community Band fosters music education in area schools while enhancing community appreciation of the unique concert band sound and literature.

The band is comprised of community musicians who are active or retired professionals, educators and skilled amateurs. The various band members show that music is a vital and important part of the education process. Learn more at pwcb.org.

The performance is part of the Second Annual Summer Evenings under the Stars series, funded by a grant from the NVCC Educational Foundation and sponsored by the Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC).
