National Night Out in 'The Park' a Success

The nationwide event is always held the first Tuesday in August. is a partnership between communities and local law enforcement that stand together to send a message to criminals.

A little more than halfway through the four-hour event, all the provisions ran out, Manassas Park Police Officer William "Quiz" Quesenberry said.

The masses managed to consume the following in about 2.5 hours, he said:

  • 15 gallons of Chick-fil-A sweet tea
  • 6 gallons of Chick-fil-A lemonade
  • 120 bottles of Gatorade
  • 440 bottles of Snapple iced tea
  • 400 Monster Energy drinks
  • 400 Pepsi products
  • 200 Coca-Cola products
  • 2,460 Aaron's waters
  • 25 watermelons
  • 46 pounds of Abuelita tortilla chips
  • 16 cases of Utz products
  • 12 cases of Kraft products
  • 3.5 hours of Snowie BUS shaved ice
  • 100 Chick-fil-A chocolate chunk cookies
  • 400 hot dogs from Yorkshire Restaurant
  • 100 additional hot dogs
  • 650 cold sandwiches from Southland and 7-Eleven
  • 250 Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches
  • 660 slices of Little Caesar's pizza
  • 600 Little Caesar's bread sticks
  • Hamburgers (number not available)
  • 375 bags of popcorn from the Ronnie White family
  • Several bags of assorted candy and other treats.
