Fireworks Display at Manassas Park July 4th Celebration Among the Best

Free community event open to all ages.

Release:

Manassas Park, Va. - The City of Manassas Park Department of Parks and Recreation invites you to join us as we celebrate America’s Independence Day. The celebration will be held at Signal Hill Park on Friday, July 4, 2014. Fireworks will light the night sky at approximately 9:15 pm.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic basket to celebrate our nation’s birthday with an evening of family, friends, and one of the best fireworks displays in Northern Virginia.

This FREE community event is open to all ages. Gates open to the public at 5:30 pm. Parking inside Signal Hill is only for handicapped patrons. All others will have to park across the street. Both lots are $5, and space is limited so arrive early.

Beginning at 6:30 pm, a shuttle will be provided to and from the (Manassas Park) Virginia Railway Express (VRE) parking lot and Manassas Park City Hall for spectators who park in those lots. Shuttle will drop off at the intersection of Signal View Dr. and Andrew Dr.

Expect traffic delays before and after the event, 5:00 pm-11:00 pm, on Manassas Drive and Signal View Drive. The following items will be strictly prohibited inside the park: alcoholic beverages, glass bottles, personal fireworks, sparklers and grills. All vehicles, coolers and bags will be searched before entry.
