Cougar Elementary Has The "Write" Stuff

Cougar Elementary School students earned a huge surprise after they met their goal of writing 5,000 letters through the schools Wee Deliver Program.

The principals and assistant principals of three Manassas Park schools recently took to the roof of l and waved to students as they arrived for classes.

Cougar Elementary Principal Pamela Terry, Cougar Assistant Principal Katrina Saunders, Principal Stacey Mamon, Assistant Principal Melissa Pitts and Principal Eric Neff were all on the roof of the school as a reward for the students who met their goal of sending 5,000 letters in one year though a student-run mail delivery service.

Wee Deliver continues to push the envelope—literally. The students hope to handle 10,000 letters by June.

Wee Deliver is coordinated by Tracy Holland, a second grade teacher at Cougar Elementary School.
