Avoid Nightly Travel on I-95/395, Lane Closures This Week
Lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. every morning, VDOT officials said.
If you need another reason to avoid Interstate 95/395, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close multiple lanes on I-95/395 north and south, from Garrisonville Road (Route 610), exit 143 in Stafford, to Duke Street (Route 236), exit 3, Sunday through Thursday nights, Aug. 26-30, starting at 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The lane closures are in place for barrier placement, test bores, and other related construction work on the new 95 Express Lanes project.
All lanes will be open by 5 a.m. every morning.

This work is in addition to nightly High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lane closures for .
All lane closures will be suspended for the upcoming Labor Day Holiday weekend from noon on Aug. 31 until noon Sept. 4.
