School officially started for students on Tuesday but for fall athletics, the season has been underway since August.
Here's a brief look at where MPHS teams currently stand and the upcoming games for some of the fall sports.
Football
Ninth grade football lost their first game of the season 0-24 against Skyline in an away game on Tuesday.
The freshman football team will play at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 at the Manassas Park High School stadium.
The varisty football team plays Arcardia on Saturday in Oak Hill, VA at 2 p.m.
Volleyball
Girls varsity volleyball lost to Park View high school in a Wednesday home match. The team's next match is against Potomac High School at 7 p.m. at Manassas Park High School. According to the school's athletic website, the varsity volleyball team is 0-4.
The girls junior varsity volleyball team also lost against Park View Wednesday. The team (2-2) will play at 6 p.m. Thursday against Potomac at home.
Varisty golf (0-3) lost its match at Strasburg on Aug. 28. The team will play at 4 p.m. on Monday against Stonewall Jackson High School.
