UPDATED: New Dunkin Donuts Raises Money for Manassas Park Schools

Dunkin Donuts on Liberia Avenue kicked off a year-long fundraising campaign for Manassas Park City Schools this month.

The new Dunkin Donuts in Manassas is showing its support for Manassas Park City Schools.

Ralph Caruso, regional manager of the Dunkin Donuts on Liberia Avenue, kicked off a year-long fundraising campaign for Manassas Park City Schools this month.

Restaurant staff also created a "Cougar Corner," an area in the store decorated with Cougar athletic jerseys. Manassas Park High athletic director Daniel Forgas and superintendent of Manassas Park City Schools ,Dr. Bruce McDade, stopped by the store on the morning of Valentine's Day to give the framed jerseys to Caruso during a special ceremony.

Each Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 9p.m., Dunkin Donuts will  donate 10 percent of sales to the school division.  The monies raised from now until June will be earmarked for a scholarship for a deserving senior in the Class of 2012.  In July, each of the four Manassas Park schools will be placed on a year-long rotation so that monies raised will be shared across the division.
