Manassas Park High Wrestling Claim 11th State Title

Manassas Park wrestling team claims fifth state title in eight years.

The Manassas Park wrestling team claim the state championship Saturday—the school's 11th title in its  history. 

The team traveled more than four hours to Salem Saturday and defeated every Single A shcool in the state of Virgnia to claim the victory.

The teams great success came as a surprise even to the teams leader Coach Michael Wilborn who said earlier this year that the team was exceeding his orginal expectations.

"Honstly, I'm pretty surprised at how well we're doing this season. I thought this would be another rebuilding year and next year we'd make a run," Wilborn said in an earlier report. "But our guys have really show tilt. They are ready to work and it has shown in our successes."

The news of the teams triumph spread around the small city of Manassas Park Saturday with many residents feeling proud of the team as it claims its fifth championship in eight years.
