The Manassas Park High Cougars will likely have a new coach leading them on gridiron this fall, but exactly who that person is remains to be seen.
Head Coach Joe McElfish resigned earlier this year after the team finished 8-4 overall and 6-3 in league play.
Daniel Forgas, athletic director for the high school, said he has received 16 applications for the position so far.
Forgas said he posted the job to the Virginia High School League website on Jan. 8.
The school will probably close the job posting soon, he added.
