Friends Remember 'Momo' As 'Most Adorable Girl'
Friends of Katherine "Momo" Morales share memories of the local student who died Saturday in a vehicle crash in North Carolina.
Katherine "Momo" Morales was killed Saturday in a car crash in Goldsboro, N.C., while returning home from a family vacation. According to her last tweet, Morales and her family knew of the pending Hurricane Irene before they drove to Myrtle Beach.
The Goldsboro Police Department could not be reached for details about the crash, which happened in the late afternoon. Morales is the only known local fatality that is related to the hurricane.
Morales played soccer and some of her friends remembered her as fun and sweet. Watch the video to see some of her friends share stories about the 15-year-old girl.
