VDOT to Host Career Fair for High School Students

The goal is to teach high school students about careers in the transportation industry.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host a career fair for high school students in October.

VDOT's Office of Civil Rights has scheduled the career fair for Oct. 4 at the Prince William County fairgrounds, located at 10624 Dumfries Rd., Manassas, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Over 80 exhibitors have signed up to participate in the fair.

“Our goal is to show high school students first-hand that fulfilling career opportunities exist in transportation, construction and engineering along with a variety of support industries,” Leslie Martin, a manager with the civil rights office, said in a press release.
