Snow Means No Work For Federal Employees in DC-Area Wednesday

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management announced Wednesday morning that federal offices in the Washington, D.C. area are closed.

Federal offices in Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia and Maryland are closed today due to the winter weather moving through the area. 

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management announced its decision at 3:30 a.m Wednesday to call off work for federal employees in the Washington metro.

Personnel staff said on Tuesday they would make a decision about federal work hours by 4 a.m. Wednesday.
