Parking Restrictions Enforced During Snow Emergency

City of Manassas Park:

The City of Manassas Park has declared a Snow Emergency, based on the Hazardous Storm Warning in effect for this area from Sunday evening through Monday night.  According to the National Weather Service, the forecast calls for a mix of rain and snow early this evening that will change to all snow by mid-evening. Snow will continue overnight through early afternoon Monday. The heaviest snow is expected after midnight tonight (Sun.) through early Monday morning. Up to 3 to 6 inches of snow is possible.  Parking restrictions have been issued - see below:

The City Manager has determined based on the current weather forecast that a snow emergency will be in effect for the City of Manassas Park from 7:00 p.m., Sunday March 16, 2014 until 11:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014.

There are parking prohibitions on all City of Manassas Park Streets designated as snow emergency routes from 7:00 p.m., Sunday March 16, 2014 until 11:00 p.m., Monday, March 17, 2014.

The following streets have been designated as snow emergency routes:

(1)   Manassas Drive from Baker Street to Golf Court;

(2)   Denver Drive from Manassas Drive to Rugby Road;

(3)   Digital Drive from Manassas Drive to West Carondelet Drive.

(4)   Matthew Drive  

(5)   West Carondelet Drive 

(6)   Polk Drive from Manassas Drive to Old Centreville Road.

The parking of any vehicles during this snow emergency on the above mentioned streets shall be prohibited. Vehicles in violation during this incident will be ticketed and subject to towing at owners expense.
