No VRE Service Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
The commuter rail line won't operate Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Virginia Railway Express (VRE) does not provide service on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day, according to its website. On New Year's Eve, VRE operates on an "S" schedule.
The popular commuter rail service added cars to its Friday midday and evening trains in anticipation of the holiday rush of workers.
