Manassas Park Delegate Officially on GOP U.S. Senate Ballot

Manassas Park Del. Bob Marshall gathered the required number of signatures to appear on the ballot. Marshall are others are vying for the spot belonging to Sen. James Webb, who is retiring.

Manassas Park Del. Bob Marshall gathered some 17,000 signatures in an effort  to be placed on the June 12 U.S. Senate Republican Primary Ballot along with three others, the Republican Party of Virginia announced. 

Out of the four candidates, Marshall had the third most signatures with 17,133, according to the Republican Party of Virginia.

Former Gov. George Allen had the most with 26,869 and is considered the clear favorite to win by the party, according to the Washington Post.  Former Virginia Tea Party Patriots head Jamie Radtke had the second most signatures with 21,522. E.W. Jackson had the least amount of signatures with 11,188.
