Manassas Man Pleads Guilty to Illegally Possessing Machine Gun
Douglas Story faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
A Manassas man who federal prosecutors say is a white supremacist pleaded guilty Friday to possessing an illegal machine gun.
appeared before U.S. District Court Judge Claude M. Hilton and pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a machine gun, according to federal court documents.
Story’s charges are in violation of the National Firearms Act and carry a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. There is no parole in the federal system.

That sentence will be handed down on Nov. 2.
Story was arrested in a Manassas shopping center off Sudley Road on May 30, 2012, where he met an undercover agent to pick up a semi-automatic AK-47 he’d previous paid the agent to modify into an illegal weapon.

Story originally attracted the attention of federal agents after he posted hateful messages online, condoning violence against blacks like U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. President Barack Obama, federal authorities said.
Story allegedly posted on an Aryan Nation website that he was preparing to buy the modified AK-47 to, “ambush and murder” law enforcement should martial law ever be enacted in the U.S.
