County Animal Shelter Fees to Change July 1
Prince William County Animal Shelter ups fees. The county shelter serves Manassas Park.
The following excerpt is taken directly from a prepared statement by the Prince William County Police:
"The Animal Shelter staff wishes to remind County residents that the fees associated with animals at the shelter will be changing, effective July 1, 2011.
The new fees are as follows:

• Adoption fee: $45 (includes basic vaccinations and a microchip)
• Impoundment fee: $30 (charged if your pet is picked up by Animal Control)

• Daily Confinement fee: $15 per day (assessed daily when your pet is impounded at the Shelter; covers food, sheltering and care)
• County Dog License: $10 annually
