Manassas City Police say a local store was robbed at knifepoint Tuesday for the second time.

Witnesses spotted the suspect approaching Wellington Market on Wellington Road with a knife in his pocket and trying to put on a black cloth mask around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Video surveillance showed that the man entered the store, removed cash from the register, then fled on foot. No one reported any injuries.

The suspect was described as approximately 30 years old, black with a close shaved hair cut, about six feet tall. He was wearing dark grey, faded jeans, a white or grey shirt underneath a black sweatshirt, a lanyard around his neck and light-colored shoes.

The first robbery occurred on Oct. 20, when a man again entered the store, displayed a large knife to the clerk, took the cash and fled on foot. The suspect was described as a black male about 30 years old, six feet tall, and wearing a black sweatshirt with a gold tribal design, police said. He had covered his face with a white cloth.
