Weather Service Issues Special Weather Statement for Manassas, Manassas Park
Heavy downpours and hail are expected Wednesday evening.
The National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement concerning a line of thunderstorms expected to move through the area Wednesday at peak commuting hours.
At 3:23 p.m., radar located strong thunderstorms moving north at 20 miles per hour, according to the statement. The storms are expected to impact Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park, bringing penny to nickel size hail and downpours. Stay with Patch for more information as it become available.
