Update: Two Accused of Beating Man With Hand Rails
Two men are accused of beating a man with hand rails Thursday.
Prince William Police arrested two people who they say attacked a homeless man on Old Centreville Road just outside of Manassas Park early Thursday morning.
Jose Antonio Rivera, 22, of 8816 Jacobs Lane in Manassas is charged with malicious wounding and robbery. A 17-year-old boy faces the same charges, but police did not release his identity because of his age. Both were arrested on Thursday, the same day of the alleged attack.
Police said it happened in Manassas on the 7300 block of Old Centreville Road when the 35-year-old victim was approached by two men he didn't know. The men beat him with the wooden hand rails, stole his phone and cash before running away, police said.
