Suspect Faces Additional Charges in Fatal Thanksgiving Day Crash

A Fairfax man is facing two additional charges in connection with a fatal crash in Yorkshire that left one dead on Thanksgiving.

Jeffery Scott Davis Jr.,23, of Englishwood Lane is charged with driving under the influence-involuntary manslaughter and not wearing a seatbelt, Prince William County Police reports show.

Police charged him with DUI shortly after the crash, police reports show.

Crash investigators sought additional charges after speaking with prosecutors in the Commonwealth Attorney's Office.

The suspect was served with the warrants at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, where he's been held without bond since his arrest.

Police said that Davis was speeding westbound on Yorkshire Lane just outside of Manassas Park when his Chevy S-10 left the roadway, crossed into a ditch and rolled over.

The front seat passenger, Roland Donald Reynolds, Jr., 25, of Manassas, was not wearing his seat belt. He was thrown from the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and later died at a local hospital. 

Police said Davis had to be extricated from the vehicle and flown to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Davis' court date is set for Jan. 3.
