Suspect Dead After Gun Fire Exchange with Feds in Manassas Area

The shooting happened during the execution of a search and arrest warrant in the Manassas area of Prince William County.

A suspect was shot to death Thursday morning during the execution of a search warrant in the Manassas area of Prince William County, WUSA 9 reports. 

It happened at 6 a.m. on Covington Place where D.C. Department of Homeland Security agents executed an arrest and search warrant. 

The suspect, who hasn't yet been identified, exchanged gunfire with the agency's special response team during the incident. 

That person may have died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, an official told WUSA9

No officers were injured during the gun battle.
