Second Suspect Arrested in Haymarket Home Invasion

Police said a Bristow man assisted a Manassas Park resident in breaking into the home and assaulting someone inside and stealing a safe.

A Bristow man was arrested Tuesday after police said he and a Manassas Park man broke into a home, tied up a woman, assaulted a man and stole a safe.

Andrew Stuart Myers, 22, of 10002 Island Fourt Court is charged with burglary while armed, malicious wounding, two counts of abduction and the  use of a firearm in commission of a felony, Prince William County Police reports show.

Police arrested Steven Hall of Manassas Park in connection with the same crime on Tuesday.

Investigators believe the suspects knew their victims and that it wasn't a random act of violence.

The incident happened Tuesday at 1 a.m. at a home on the 6100 block of Myradale Way in Haymarket, when two suspects entered the home through an unlocked door.

Once inside, they tied a 40-year-old woman's hands and feet with tape and assaulted a 20-year-old man.

They fled the scene with money from a safe, jewelry and other items worth about $100.

Myers is being held without bond and will appear for a court hearing on Jan. 25.
