Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Task Force Net Drug Arrests

Task force conducts search warrants and makes several drug-related arrests in February and March in Northern Virginia.

A task force comprised of officers from Manassas Park, Manassas and Prince William County made several arrests over the last two months in connection with the sale of illegal drugs—including heroin and oxycodne—in the area.

The most recent of these arrests happened Wednesday when a narcotics investigation culminated with the execution of a search warrant in Reston.  Police said Jose Abraham Guandipue Turcios, 25, of 2220 White Cornus Lane is responsible for the distribution of cocaine in several areas of Prince William County. Police also arrested 21-year-old Nora Melendez Melgar of the same address. She is charged with possession of cocaine.  Melgar was later released on a personal recognizance bond. Turcio is being held without bond.

Police arrested six more people in February in connection with the sale and distribution of marijuana, heroin, cocaine and oxycodone in Prince William County, but task force officers declined to announce the arrests because of ongoing investigations, Prince William County officials said this month.
