Police: Man Threatened to Burn House on New Years

A Manassas Park man was arrested after he threatened to burn a house down on New Years.

A Manassas Park man was arrested on New Years Day after he threatened to burn someone’s house down.

Richard Martellus Flinchman Jr.,26, of Cabbel Drive is charged with making threats to burn, Manassas Park Police reports show.

 It happened early Sunday morning at 2:44 a.m. on the 100 block of Cabbel Drive when police were told the suspect was, “extremely intoxicated.”

 The suspect also began making derogatory comments, then threatening to burn someone's house down.

Flinchman appeared before a magistrate judge and had bond set at $20,000.

He next court date is scheduled for Feb. 9.
