Officer Chris Yung Honored at National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial

Officer Chris Yung's family and members of the Prince William County Police Department gathered in Washington, D.C. to unveil his name written on the memorial wall.

Officers from the Prince William County Police Department gathered in Washington, D.C. on a drizzly Tuesday morning to honor Prince William County Police Officer Chris Yung, who died while responding to an incident on New Year's Eve. 

Yung's name was added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, alongside 19,000 other officers who have been killed in the line of duty. The names of 319 other fallen law enforcement officers will be added to the memorial this spring, which include 120 officers who died in 2012.

National Park Ranger Margaret Anderson, who was shot and killed by a gunman on in Washington, was also honored at the ceremony. 

The ceremony took place just two weeks before more than a thousand .
