$22,000 Theft from New Digital Drive Townhome Site

Police said someone lifted more than $22,000 in goods from the construction site over the holiday weekend.

A townhome development under construction on Digital Drive in Manassas Park was the subject of a massive theft of goods totaling more than $22,000, Manassas Park Police investigators said.

Police think the theft happened sometime over the holiday weekend, between the day after Thanksgiving and Monday morning, when work ceased at the Dominion Crossing town home development site.

During that time, someone stole a Husqvarna concrete saw, three "jumping jack" rammers and a compressor.

The land developer has been working at the site since at least the late summer, preparing the land for 126 new, rear-loaded townhomes.

The homes will be built by K. Hovnanian. The whole project is expected to take a year and six months, at the most, weather permitting.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Manassas Park Police Department at 703-361-1136.
