Men, Armed With Shotgun, Steal Safe From Manassas Area Home

Prince William County Police do not believe the incident was random.

Two men forced their way inside a Manassas area home, assaulted a woman and then stole a safe Monday evening, Prince William County Police said. 

Police dispatched a K-9 unit to the 7500 block of Sage Street around 10:40 p.m., after the homeowner reported the burglary. Police did not find the suspects, and continued to investigate the incident. They do not believe it was random. 

After the men forced their way inside, they demanded money and struck a 22-year-old woman in the head. One of the men was armed with a shotgun. They fled the home after they stole a safe, police said. 

The victim reported minor injuries. 

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, ski mask and jeans. 

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium to heavy build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and hat. No further description was available.
