Maryland Man Arrested For Driving Under the Influence Through Manassas Park

A Maryland man was arrested Tuesday after police spotted him driving recklessly through Manassas Park.

A Maryland man was arrested Tuesday after police spotted him driving recklessly through Manassas Park.

David Antonio Florian Paredes, 35, of University Boulevard in Hyattsville is charged with resisting arrest and driving under the influence, Manassas Park Police reports show. 

It happened at a little after 1 a.m. near Manassas Drive and Evans Street when an officer saw someone driving a 1998 Ford truck over a curb and into a sidewalk.

The suspect got out of the car and ran from police, but was apprehended.

Paredes was being held at the adult detention center in Manassas. Bond was set at $5,000.

He is expected to appear in court on Feb. 15.
