Manassas Park Man Shot Multiple Times in Drug-Related Incident

A 22-year-old Manassas Park man was gunned down as he sat in his car this morning in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police reports.

A 22-year-old Manassas Park man was gunned down as he sat in his car this morning in Manassas, according to Prince William County Police reports.

It happened at 2:40 a.m. on the 8100 block of Pointer Lane when three men approached the victim. One of the men pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times. 

The man managed to drive himself to a local hospital where police were called, according to police reports.

Police went to the shooting location where they spotted a car with two men inside.

One of the men got out the vehicle, shoved one of the police officers and ran away, but was later caught. He is identified as Jamie Lee Hunter, 26, of 106 Wrightwood Place in Sterling, police said.

 He is charged with malicious wounding, maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The second man, who police identify as 21-year-old Andre Waters of 1317 Monroe St. in Herndon, was arrested inside the vehicle.

He is charged with malicious wounding, maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Police said about one pound of marijuana was found in the suspects' vehicle. The shooting is thought to be drug related.

Police haven't located the third suspect in the crime.

The victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

Both suspects are being held without bond.  A court hearing in connection with their charges is scheduled for court for Dec. 28. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

P The other occupant, WATERS, remained at the vehicle and was arrested without incident. Both men were linked back to the reported shooting. The investigation further revealed that the shooting was drug related. Marijuana, less than a 1lb, was recovered from the vehicle. The victim sustained multiple gunshots but is expected to survive. The third subject involved was not located.
