Manassas Man Accused of Accidentally Shooting Friend

Police said the victim and the suspect were in a restaurant in Chantilly when the 22-year-old victim was accidentally shot.

A Manassas man was arrested on Saturday for accidentally shooting a friend while reloading his gun, Fairfax County Police said Monday. 

Christopher E. Bohn, 36, is charged with willfully discharging firearms in a public place. Police said he was at a restaurant with the 22-year-old victim and her friends when he reloaded his gun.

While doing so he accidentally fired it, striking the victim near her ankle.

Officers responded to 14441 Brookfield Tower Drive in Chantilly around 5:30 p.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No one else was injured.
