Manassas Area Woman Charged With Burglary

Police said that Evelia Aviles Reyes, 29, broke into an acquaintance's home and threatened the victim.

Angry over a previous dispute with an acquaintance, a Manassas area resident allegedly broke into a woman's home and made threatening remarks, Prince William County Police said. 

Evelia Aviles Reyes, 29, of Irongate Way in the Manassas area, allegedly broke into the home Dec. 31 around 4:21 a.m., according to police.

The 45-year-old victim reported that she was inside her home on the 10000 block of Portsmouth Road when she heard the glass break on a rear sliding-glass door. Reyes allegedly entered the home and confronted the victim on the second floor, police said.

Reyes allegedly made threatening remarks, but did not assault the victim, police said. After an investigation, officers charged Reyes with burglary. She was held without bond.
