Gainesville Woman Dies in Manassas Car Crash

The other person involved in the crash was transported to Prince William Hospital for treatment, Manassas City Police said Wednesday.

Police continue to investigate an early morning crash in Manassas that left one woman dead and shut down Godwin Drive for several hours, Manassas City Police Sgt. Eddie Rivera said.

It happened Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Godwin Drive and University Boulevard. 

Police did not release details of the crash, only saying that the drivers of the two vehicles involved in the crash were the only occupants.

Chaitali China, 31, of Gainesville, died at the scene, Rivera said. 

The driver of the other vehicle, a 29-year-old female from Fairfax, was transported from the scene to Prince William Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
