Car Stolen After Victim Leaves Engine On and Unattended

The car was stolen from Euclid Avenue in Manassas Park.

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a car that was stolen on Nov. 18 from Manassas Park.

It happened at 10 a.m. on Euclid Avenue when the victim started his 1995 Acura Integra and left it on while he walked away for about 15 minutes, according to Manassas Park Police investigators.

When he returned, the car was gone, police said.

The victim found the car behind a nearby building and spotted the suspect inside it leaning over the back seat.

The victim yelled at the suspect, who hopped into a gun metal grey Acura TSX and sped north on Euclid Avenue.

There were no tags on the getaway vehicle, investigators said.

The victim told police a speaker stereo box system and a Sony Xplode stereo were also stolen. The stereo system is valued at $800.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 170 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and sweat pants.
