An oil-portrait of the late Prince William County Police Officer Chris Yung was revealed on Tuesday, the one-year anniversary of his line-of-duty death in Manassas.

Yung's family and his former colleagues attended a portrait-revealing ceremony hosted by Prince William County Police at the Prince William County Criminal Justice Academy in Nokesville.

His portrait was painted by former Virginia State Police Trooper Donald Moore.
Moore also painted the portraits of Officers Mike Pennington and Pete White, the only two other officers employed with the agency who died in the line of duty.

Yung's portrait will hang in the academy alongside those of Pennington and White.

Prince William County Police Chief Steve Hudson said the portrait of Officer Yung is a reminder of his service, his family and his sacrifice.

“Chris was a good husband, father, son, brother and police officer,” Hudson said during the ceremony. “Chris lived a life of service, and all of us in this Department are honored that he chose to serve the people of Prince William County alongside us."

A vigil at Nokesville Road and Piper Lane in Bristow—the site of Yung's death— was held Tuesday evening.
