Manassas Park Community Matters Blog Post - The Teen Division Welcomes Fall with Open Arms! – By Brian Hanifin

As the weather starts to cool down and we start to see the signs of fall, we look back on what a great summer we had. The teens had a great summer at MPCC. Everyone had a great time in all of our camps; from Teen Adventure Camp, where we went on a series of fun outdoor adventures, to Teambuilding Camp where we learned how to work together.

The Teen Division is sad to see summer go but excited for all of the new events and programs we have going on this fall. We are well into the new school year and our teen programs are off to a great start! Even MP3, our after school program for students in 6th-8th grade, has been great. If you hadn’t had the chance yet, you should check out all that we are offering this fall/winter. We have flyers and information inside the Teen Center, or you can contact Brian directly to hear about everything going on with the Teens.

Our Teen programs are FREE to members with the Teen Passport. For only $20 a month, not only do you get access to all Teen Programs, but you get access to the gym, pool, fitness center and dedicated Teen Center, which has computers, a flat screen TV, Wii and X Box with Connect! If you don’t have a Passport, don’t worry. You can still participate for only $2!

Plus, we set the Teen Passport up so that by volunteering, doing community service, showing us a good grade, you can LOWER your monthly payment. Each point that you earn equals a dollar. Yep, you could earn 20 points and enjoy one month FREE! We want to make sure that it is easy for you to come in and enjoy all that we have to offer.

So what are you waiting for?  Come check out all that the Community Center and Teen Division has going on. I hope to see you at the one of the next Teen programs! Enjoy your Fall.
