Police: Manassas Park Man Points Gun at 3 Victims During Argument

The gun turned out to be a BB gun, Manassas Park Police said.

A Manassas Park man faces gun charges after police said he pulled out a BB gun and cocked it at three people during a heated argument.

Christopher Andrew Mentzer, 28, of Manassas Drive is charged with three counts of brandishing a firearm, Manassas Park Police reports show. 

It happened Wednesday around 11 p.m on Manassas Drive, during a dispute on  among the suspect and three other people.

At some point, the suspect pulled out a black handgun, cocked it, and pointed it at all three people, police said.

The handgun was later determined to be a BB gun, investigators said.

Mentzer faces charges in connection with two felony warrants from Prince William County: possession of a Schedule II narcotic and grand larceny.

He remains in custody at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center in Manassas.

He is expected to appear in court on Aug. 23, 2012 and Sept. 11, 2012.
