Last Chance: PRTC, Other Transportation Organizations to Discuss Consolidation
PRTC could be consolidating with other transportation organizations in the Northern Virginia area.
From Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission:
A joint meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 in Fairfax to discuss the possible consolidation of Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission with other area transportation organizations.
The meeting will be attended by representatives from PRTC, the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission (NVTC), the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC), and the Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance (NVTA).

The public is invited to attend the meeting at NVRC, 3060 Williams Drive, Fairfax, VA 22031.
During the meeting, participants will discuss the General Assembly's request that all four of the listed organizations examine organizational consolidation and other means of achieving efficiencies. Also to be discussed is the possible formation of a new Northern Virginia metropolitan planning organization.
