Case Continued For Former Coach Accused of Sex Abuse

Dennis Dyer of Manassas Park is accused of abusing two children in the 1970s.

The case of a former Prince William County tee-ball coach accused of abusing two children is continued until July, court officials said Tuesday morning.

Dennis Dyer, 58, of Manassas Park , but the lawyers in the case agreed to scheduled another meeting for the end of July, according to court documents.

 In April, after an alleged victim told Prince William County Police the suspect abused him when he played on tee ball team the suspect coached in 1978.

A second victim made allegations against the suspect during the police investigation, according to Prince William County police reports.

The alleged victims said they were between 6 and 8 years old when the abuse happened.

 Dyer was released from the Prince William County Adult Detention Center. Bond and release date information weren’t available.
