Police: Manassas Man Caught Driving on Wrong Side of Road

Police said the suspect sideswiped a Ford as he was driving on the wrong side of the road earlier this month.

A Manassas man was arrested Aug. 19 after police said he was driving against traffic in Manassas Park.

It happened Aug. 19 just before midnight when the victim told police his 2008 Ford was sideswiped by a 1998 Dodge traveling north in the southbound lane of Centreville Road, near Manassas Drive in Manassas Park, police said.

Officers put out a lookout alert for the suspect's car which was located a short time later by Prince William County Police.

The suspect is charged with felony hit and run and driving under the influence.

No injuries were reported and no bond has been set. The suspect remains in custody at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center.
